Decorating with Vintage Scales
Hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend! On Saturday, we had Brooks’ “Spring Fling”at his school and finished the night with a BBQ at our neighbors house. It was a long, fun-filled Saturday that resulted in the boys sleeping till 9 am on Sunday! That alone was better than any Mother’s Day gift I could ask for! It was the most beautiful weather so we spent Sunday in the backyard playing, doing yard work, and finished with popcorn and a family pajama party. It was my favorite kind of weekend!
I was changing some of my decor around on Sunday, to make room for my beautiful Mother’s Day flowers and realized I own a lot of scales. True vintage and store bought “vintage” scales, that are so versatile and lovely. Who doesn’t love a good vintage scale? I mean they are beautiful for one, oh so versatile, and many are even functional! Vintage scales are on my top 5 of favorite decor items for these exact reasons. They can be incorporated into any decor style and instantly add character and charm to any space. These days with vintage decor so popular you can even find these beauties in popular retail stores, if you aren’t able to find one junking or at antique shops. Now of course they aren’t the “real” vintage thing, but they are pretty beautiful in and of themselves.
Here are two of my favorites in our kitchen and dining room!
Both of these beauties were purchased from Decor Steals. This “light as a feather” scale is one of my absolute favorites. You can see I move it all over our house and change out the decor (very) often . I love it so much I wrote a post all about styling it (here). This vintage hardware scale is a fully functional clock, and I love the flat base for decor. Another one, I am moving and changing up constantly. I also have a hanging produce scale that I found at my favorite small boutique in town, but still haven’t hung it! Once I find the perfect place for it, I will share that one with you. Let’s take a look at some more beautiful vintage scales in some amazing homes!

As always, thanks so much for stopping by! Hope your week gets off to a wonderful start!
