My Favorite Rustic Farmhouse Finds at Hobby Lobby

I have been really selective about what I put back on our walls and into our home after recently getting the main living areas, halls, and playroom of our home painted. It was almost like we were moving in all over again, starting with a fresh canvas! Of course, the furniture was already there, but I pulled up all the wall, shelf, and decorative decor so it wouldn’t be in the way. We had the painters puddy and patch many of the holes but left anchors that we knew we would be putting our favorite pieces right back onto. It saved us a lot of time when putting the house back together! When it was time to put the decor back, I went really simple to start and will add more back if it feels lacking in some spaces.

This made me only select pieces that I really love and truly think adds to the rustic vibe of our home. I was looking through my decor and realizing most of my favorite items are found objects from vintage stores, small boutiques, and antique shops. I love that our home has a rustic, found vibe. But I also noticed many of the smaller, filler items come from Hobby Lobby. Like the faux greenery placed in our office, kitchen, and bathrooms. I also have a few bigger items like this galvanized letter, sign, wreath, and book shelf (see below).

When friends hear that some of the items they love from our home come from Hobby Lobby they are shocked, really shocked. They just assume they are antique or vintage finds. But nope, secret is out! I love mixing items from stores like Hobby Lobby, HomeGoods, and World Market with found and small boutique finds. Now, I don’t have any rooms or walls with decor completely from Hobby Lobby. But I find that by mixing in some of their rustic pieces and found items you would never know they aren’t found objects too! You also can’t beat there prices. I never buy an item when it is not either 50% off or with a 40% off coupon, so keep that in mind when you take a peek at these items. Therefore, I am listing these finds thinking that you will pick up one of these pieces at 50% off, like I do!

I discovered Hobby Lobby about two years ago, and slowly started incorporating some of their rustic farmhouse pieces into our home. Primarily because of there wide selection, budget-friendly price tags, and ease of shopping (5 minutes from our house!). I especially love there faux plants. It is my favorite place to buy lambs ear and lavender! So friends, sit back, relax, and take a peek at these awesome rustic farmhouse finds from Hobby Lobby. (This is not a sponsored Hobby Lobby post, I just wanted to bring you some of my favorite decor finds!).

Again let me emphasize, if you are going for that rustic found farmhouse vibe then I wouldn’t suggest sticking all these pieces in one room and calling it a finished room! But of course, if that is what you want to do, then go for it! I have seen hooks similar to #1 in popular boutiques for two times this price at least. When I spotted this one I couldn’t wait to add it to our laundry room. Everytime I run into Hobby Lobby I swing by their pillow covers. For $5, it is one of my favorite places to find seasonal pillow covers for cheap, and this one for Spring is no exception!  I love #17 for a powder room, providing extra storage and style. We have #18 in the playroom for the boys’ books. I love the rustic charm and versatility of this piece. These are just some of my favorites, because I really feel like they have that rustic farmhouse vibe that is so popular right now! Also, here are a few items from Hobby Lobby in our home!

The lantern and DIY wreath are few of my Hobby Lobby finds mixed with found and small boutique items in our hall.

Guys, can you believe this clock is from Hobby Lobby? Mixed in with this vintage decor you would never know, right?

And here is #18 in our playroom. It would also be awesome in a dining room displaying collected plates.

And lastly, the lambs ear that I love so much!

These are just a few examples of how I mixed in these budget-friendly pieces into our rustic decor. Do you guys love Hobby Lobby as much as I do? As always thanks for stopping by the blog today!

      Hi,
Thank you and great question! I love using galvanized watering cans and vases with cotton stems or sage. The softness of the cotton and sage go beautifully with galvanized metals and adds that perfect amount of “farmhouse charm” without feeling too heavy. I also love incorporating galvanized trays and baskets in open shelving or on a coffee table. Hope this helps!
